When technology transfer is carried out within the framework of cooperation, a successful partnership is often developed that leads to innovation, commercialization and market creation for the developer, its partners and their customers. The USAID Feed the Future Partnering for Innovation grant program has been the vehicle for the creation of a successful partnership between Moana Technologies of Hawaii and MKA Hatchery of Bangladesh.
We were supported in the effort by a supplementary grant from Partnering for Innovation to bring in a team with specialized expertise to serve as trainers and the USAID Aquaculture for Income and Nutrition (AIN) project contributed to the cost of needed equipment.
